What is the Employment in Europe report?

This is the 20th annual edition of the Employment in Europe report, which has become one of the main tools of the European Commission in supporting Member States in the analysis, formulation and implementation of their employment policies.

The Employment in Europe report 2008, as in previous years, addresses topics that are high on the European Union's employment policy agenda.

The European Innovation Dialogue brings together innovation practitioners and policy-makers with the objective to strengthen the European innovation agenda in the context of the Lisbon objectives. The panel participants represent an eclectic mix of stakeholders from the innovation community.

The programme of the first day covers innovation aspects of human capital, knowledge assets and innovation financing. The second day aims to discuss and reach consensus on the establishment of a permanent European Innovation Dialogue.

For the second day of the EID which will take place at the European Parliament we will provide access for participants that do not have a permanent pass.

The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) adopted a convention on the use of electronic communications in international contracting. Its aim is to enhance the electronic communications' legal certainty in international contracting and to remove related obstacles.

In EU Member States, students (85%) followed by employees (60%), unemployed (40%) and retired (13%) form the main groups of Internet users. A similar divide has been found with regard to the level of education of users and non-users of ICTs.

ACTIF-Europe has been selected by the HERMES-OSR project to provide collaborative web-conference services.

In this case ACTIF-Europe manage the euproject.webex.eu platform for HERMES-OSR in a shared mode between several projects and clients (mutualized way).
