A Scoreboard has been published by the European Commission showing the performance of the EU and Member States in delivering on the agreed targets of the Digital Agenda for Europe after the first year of its existence (see IP/10/581, MEMO/10/199 and MEMO/10/200).
In line with its commitment to an open data strategy the European Commission has made its data sets and statistics in the Scoreboard publicly available online enabling anyone to carry out their own analysis and come to their own conclusions.

The present Cedefop publication analyses several national approaches to accreditation and draws comparisons between them. Some sectoral examples are also included.
This work builds on the common quality assurance framework (CQAF) as developed by the European Commissionʼs technical working group (TWG) on quality in VET (2003-05) and as further consolidated by the ENQA-VET network (2006-07), with the substantial technical and scientific support of Cedefop.

The European Commission's "Innovation Union" communication sets out a strategic approach to innovation, driven by the highest political level. The Innovation Union will focus Europe's efforts – and co-operation with third countries - on challenges like climate change, energy and food security, health and an ageing population.
It will use public sector intervention to stimulate the private sector and to remove bottlenecks which stop ideas reaching the market. These include lack of finance, fragmented research systems and markets, under-use of public procurement for innovation and slow standard setting. The Innovation Union is a "flagship" in the Europe 2020 Strategy.

The European Commission has published the new Work Programme for 2011-2012 . This Work Programme defines the priorities for calls for proposals that will result in projects to be launched in the period 2011-12. It is split into sub-work programmes per key domain.
