OECD conference on the future of Digital Economy

The Italian Minister for Innovation and Technologies and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) organized a "Conference on the Future Digital Economy: Digital Content Creation, Distribution and Access" at the Istituto San Michele, Rome (Italy).
2005 - Knowledge Economy – Challenges for Measurement
8-9 December 2005, Luxembourg
The aim of this conference is threefold:
- To give an overview of the state of the art in measurement of the knowledge economy worldwide;
- To identify major challenges for statistics with a special focus on the adjusted Lisbon agenda and gaps in the European Statistical System;
- To brainstorm on possible solutions.
For this conference, a diversified group of speakers with a broad international background presented their views on the Knowledge Economy and the challenges ahead. Three parallel workshops were organised.
